About the Artwork
A funny story comes with my second painting of cows. The afternoon the reference photo was taken, we were feeding these cows our watermelon rinds. I asked my good friend, Danna, if I should feed them one rind at a time, or give them the whole plate at once? She laughed and said, just give them the whole plate! Now, little did I realize, that would be the case. I made a point to paint the fence post because the plate hit it when I tried to toss the rinds in all at once. The plate went flying into the field next to the cows! The event happened in a matter of seconds, but the laughter lasted for quite some time…
The original artwork is an oil painting (18in x 24in).
